“The Queen Family: Appalachian Tradition & Back Porch Music,” a new documentary movie produced by the North Carolina Language and Life Project at North Carolina State University, is scheduled for a statewide broadcast and national release on public television early Oct.

Hello! Neal Hutchenson came to my class today and screened this movie for us and I found your family to be very inspiring. It amazed me to see three generations together and so close. I think it's very cool that yall use music as a communication tool. The kind of bond your family has almost doesn't exist anymore and it really gives me hope. The best to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI happened upon this film on Netflix recently. I am anxiously awaiting it to come in the mail. I never realized that there was a Queen family in North Carolina or that they were bluegrassers. I myself share the Queen name and am a bluegrasser in Georgia. Wild coincidence.
